What a sadya is
The meal Kerala serves on its best days
A sadya is the traditional vegetarian feast of Kerala: rice at the centre of a banana leaf, with curries, side dishes, pickles, pappadam and payasam arranged around it and served course by course.
Every family has its own idea of the right sadya: the full traditional spread with sambar, aviyal, thoran, olan, kaalan, pachadi and more than one payasam, or a shorter leaf for a smaller function. We go through the dishes with you and agree the exact menu in writing. Rates are per leaf and quoted on request; see Menu & Packages for how pricing works.
Our kitchen is at Mookkannoor in Ernakulam district, close to the Thrissur border, so we can serve sadya across both districts, including Angamaly, Koratty, Chalakudy, Aluva, Perumbavoor and Kalady.
