Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy applies to catering booked with FOOD CAFE CATERERS (Kiriyanthan's). Your catering payments are an advance of ₹15,000 including GST, a balance payable at least 7 days before the event, and any supplementary invoice for extra guests. All of them are paid to FOOD CAFE CATERERS, through Razorpay for online payments.

1. Events at LA Mirage Convention Center, Koratty

For catering at an event held at LA Mirage Convention Center, cancellations, date changes and refunds follow LA Mirage's venue booking cancellation policy, published at la-mirage.in/cancellation-policy, as it stands on the date your booking is confirmed. It applies to the catering advance and to the balance in the same way as it applies to your venue booking. In summary, as that policy reads today (LA Mirage version last updated 1 October 2026):

• Cancellation by you: the advance and other amounts paid are non-refundable.
• Cancellation by LA Mirage: LA Mirage may cancel a booking because of inclement weather, an emergency or other circumstances beyond its control. If LA Mirage cancels, all amounts you have paid for catering are refunded in full.
• Rescheduling: allowed once, only if you ask in writing (by email from your registered email address, or through la-mirage.in) more than 90 days before the event, and subject to availability and LA Mirage's approval. The advance stays non-refundable when a booking is rescheduled. When your venue booking is moved, your catering moves with it, subject to our availability on the new date, and the amounts you have paid are carried over. If we cannot cater on the new date, we treat it as a cancellation by us and refund everything you have paid us in full (see section 3).
• Within 90 days of the event: no rescheduling and no refunds for cancellations or date-change requests.
• Bookings made before 1 October 2026 follow the 60-day rule in their contract instead of the 90-day rule.

2. Events at other venues

For events that are not at LA Mirage, the cancellation and rescheduling terms are the ones stated in your written quotation or booking confirmation, which we give you before you pay the advance. Unless that document says otherwise:

• if you cancel, the advance of ₹15,000 is non-refundable. Any amount you have paid beyond the advance is refunded, less costs we have already reasonably incurred for your event (such as ingredients bought or staff engaged), which we will list for you in writing;
• you may reschedule once, by asking in writing, subject to our availability on the new date, with the amounts you have paid carried over. If we cannot cater on the new date, you may cancel on the terms above.

3. When you always get a full refund

• If we cancel your catering for any reason, every amount you have paid us for that event is refunded in full.
• If you are charged twice or pay more than the amount due, the duplicate or excess amount is refunded in full.
• If we do not serve plates you have paid for because of a failure on our part, the amount for those plates is refunded.

4. How refunds are paid

• Refunds are made by FOOD CAFE CATERERS to the original payment method: online payments are refunded through Razorpay to the same card, UPI ID, bank account or wallet used to pay.
• We process a refund within 14 days of the cancellation or refund being confirmed. After we process it, your bank or card issuer may take a further few working days (typically 5 to 7) to show it in your account.
• Refunds are made in Indian rupees, for the amount paid, including the GST charged on it. We issue a GST credit note for the refunded amount.
• For events at LA Mirage, the refund is also recorded on the LA Mirage booking platform so that your booking account stays up to date.

5. How to cancel or ask for a refund
